Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Tusafiri Savannah. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, website, and travel products. By booking a trip, tour, or any other service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making any booking.

1. Definitions

  • Company: Refers to Tusafiri Savannah, including its employees, agents, and affiliates.

  • Client/You/Your: Refers to the individual or group booking or intending to book services provided by the Company.

  • Services: Includes, but is not limited to, travel arrangements, guided tours, accommodation bookings, and transport services organized by Tusafiri Savannah.

2. Booking and Payment

  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit amounting to forty percent (40%) of the total trip cost, as stipulated in your invoice or quotation.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full by the date specified in your booking confirmation, typically no later than 15 days prior to the departure date.

  • Clients may request a payment plan, allowing the balance to be paid in agreed instalments. All payments must be completed 15 days before the commencement of the trip.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit/debit card, mobile money, or any other method communicated by the Company.

  • Failure to complete payments by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking without notice, and applicable cancellation charges will apply as outlined in Section 3.

Residency Verification:

Clients are required to confirm and provide valid proof of their residency status (e.g., national ID, passport, or work permit) at the time of booking. Pricing may vary for Kenyan citizens, East African residents, and non-residents. The quoted prices are applicable only upon successful verification. Failure to provide accurate documentation may lead to price adjustments or cancellation of the booking.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

A. Cancellation by the Client

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to Tusafiri Savannah.

Refunds will be processed based on the notice period before the scheduled departure date as follows:

Certain bookings involving third-party suppliers (e.g., flights, exclusive lodges, or special event packages) may be subject to stricter cancellation terms. These will be communicated at the time of booking.

Refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) working days following written confirmation of cancellation.

B. Cancellation by the Company

Tusafiri Savannah reserves the right to cancel any tour or service due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Safety or security concerns

  • Natural disasters or weather events

  • Insufficient number of participants

  • Force majeure events

  • Failure of third-party service providers

In such cases, clients will be offered:

  • A full refund of all payments made to Tusafiri Savannah, or

  • The option to reschedule the trip, or

  • A credit voucher for future travel with the Company

Tusafiri Savannah shall not be held responsible for any incidental expenses incurred by the client, such as visa fees, vaccinations, insurance premiums, or flights not booked through the Company.

4. Travel Documents and Requirements

It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure that they possess valid travel documents, including:

  • Passports

  • Visas

  • Health or vaccination certificates

  • Travel insurance

The Company may offer guidance but bears no responsibility for denied entry or disruptions resulting from incomplete, expired, or invalid documentation.

  1. Last-Minute Trip Extensions

Clients wishing to extend their trip are required to give a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice prior to the planned end date of their itinerary. All extensions are subject to availability. Tusafiri Savannah does not guarantee the extension of the trip or the consistency in the quality or type of services originally booked. Any additional costs arising from the extension will be the sole responsibility of the client.

 

6. Accessibility & Special Assistance

Tusafiri Savannah is committed to providing inclusive travel experiences while ensuring comfort for all our clients. We offer special arrangements for travelers requiring additional assistance, including mobility support, customized accommodations, and tailored services.

To accommodate these needs, certain specialized services may incur an additional charge. Costs will depend on the destination, required modifications, and level of assistance needed. We strongly advise guests to notify us in advance of any accessibility requirements to facilitate seamless planning and ensure a smooth, enjoyable journey.

  1. Health and Insurance
  • Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal belongings, and emergency evacuation.

  • Clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that could affect participation in the tour.

 

8. Liability

  • Tusafiri Savannah acts as an agent for independent service providers and shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity arising from their services.

  • The Company is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property, or for any injury or illness during the tour, except where such occurrences are directly attributable to the Company’s gross negligence.

9. Force Majeure

Tusafiri Savannah shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Acts of war or terrorism

  • Civil unrest

  • Government restrictions

  • Pandemics or public health emergencies

10. Client Conduct

Clients are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly at all times. The Company reserves the right to terminate services without refund if a client:

  • Engages in behavior that is disruptive, abusive, or endangers others

  • Violates local laws or customs

  • Fails to adhere to safety instructions

11. Changes to Itineraries

While the Company makes every effort to operate trips as planned, itineraries may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances such as:

  • Weather disruptions

  • Operational or logistical constraints

  • Changes in availability from service providers

Any changes will be communicated promptly, and reasonable alternatives will be offered.

12. Website Use

  • All content on the Tusafiri Savannah website is owned or licensed by the Company and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

  • Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without express written consent.

  • While the Company strives for accuracy, it does not guarantee the completeness or reliability of information provided on the website.

 

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising under or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. The courts of Kenya shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such matters.
