“Tusafiri”, meaning “let’s travel together” in Swahili, takes its name from Kenya’s storied safari culture, which dates back to the 1920s. Among the early pioneers were Martin and Osa Johnson, whose expedition films captured the spirit of adventure and played a pivotal role in inspiring Simba: The King of the Beasts and Martin’s Safari, released in 1928.
